A Woman Writing by the Window

“Ever since happiness heard your name, it has been running through the streets trying to find you. I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in the darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.” ~Hafiz

Psychotherapy for Sudanese

The sessions

The people in the Sudan have been witnessing deeply traumatic events. You may be experiencing feelings of overwhelm, guilt, anger, deep sadness and despair.  You may feel that you are in survival mode and need to keep going.  My role is to provide you with a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space to be with the suffering.

I grew up in the Sudan and have a deep love for the country and the people. I have been offering therapy to women in the Sudan for over two years now.

My role is to walk with you through the darkness, as you remember your light. My Arabic is weak, so I prefer to hold sessions in English with a little spoken Arabic.

Sessions will be held online and will last 55 minutes.

Contact me if you would like to schedule a free introductory session.

Who I am

I am in the process of completing a masters degree in mindfulness based psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute, known as Core Process Psychotherapy. The uniqueness in this form of therapy is that it offers unconditional kindness, nonjudgemental presence, and calmness in the face of difficulty. It is a space to share and reflect on emotions without fear of judgement or pressure to act. The goal of my work is to hold a deeply grounded and honest space. Within this space we will work through the emotions, memories, fears held in your being, so that you can reconnect to a sense of spaciousness, trust and presence.

"When you touch one thing with deep awareness, you touch everything."
